For a day or a week-end, What you can find in this site: Several pages specifically devoted to tourism and visits ( Claude Monet's house, the American Art Museum, both in Giverny, Vernon with its monuments and medieval district, places to see in the neighbourhood, etc...), all this in the "Discover Vernon and Giverny " section. Leisure activities are also listed there as well as suggestions for a one or two day stay.
The section "Another way of looking at ... Vernon and Giverny" evokes unusual, little-known or simply unexpected sides, historical events or sights related with the town and surrounding places.Here you will find about 20 pages dealing with the history of our region, either official history or its side-lights, from anecdotes to more elaborate papers providing background and context for your visits.
The "Vernon and Giverny welcome you" section provides a lot of practical information: in addition to lists of hotels, restaurants, B and B, etc... there are also addresses and tips to make your stay easier ( for instance : where to buy food for a picnic and where to picnic, location of public toilets or of car parks in the centre, etc...)
