Tourist train

The Eure Valley Railway (Chemin de Fer de la Vallée d'Eure) runs along the Eure river. Passengers are transported aboard a fifty-year-old ABJ4 rail-car or carriages drawn by a historic engine.

Two services, commented by a guide on certain days, Pacy - Cocherel / Chambray (2h return) et Pacy - Breuilpont (1h15 return ) enable visitors to discover the charm of the valley in a vintage atmosphere. The station exhibits an important restored stock, including several engines listed as ‘National Heritage’.

River cruises on the Seine

Sorry, there are no cruises from Vernon this year

River cruises on the Seine leaving from Vernon. Are you ready to discover what beauty the Seine has to show?

While sailing down the river, you can see the house of Pierre Bonnard, the famous painter and a friend of Monet’s, Gaston Gallimard’s home, one of the most influential French publishers of the 20th century, the chateau de la Madeleine, the valley of Longueville; etc. While sailing along the banks planted with white willows, weeping willows or poplars, you merely have to look up in order to see cormorants, herons, gulls, swans and ducks. With this cruise, you will understand why so many painters were enthralled by the valley.
